PLP Workshop on Photography Legacies and Engagement

In anticipation of the launch of our website the PLP hosted a workshop which included a range of participants from archivists, stakeholders in photographic heritage and memory work to community activists. The aim of the workshop was to engage with the participants about how the website could facilitate operability, discoverability, and dynamism. The workshop  explored what different and diverse user experiences of the PLP could be, what legacies it should enable, and how the different users – be they curators, researchers, citizens – may interact meaningfully with the digital platform. It was both helpful and useful exercise in understanding the PLP’s role in making digital photographic archives accessible.
